Two quantities, one serving

The checked ON Banana Cream Nutrition Facts image lists a 31g powder serving and 24g protein. The powder mass includes the entire mixture, not only its protein. Reading 31g as protein would overstate what the label says.

Keep the variant attached

The selected Orgain chocolate canister label lists 46g powder and 21g protein; Naked Pea lists 30g powder and 27g protein. These are distinct recipes and serving definitions. Do not transplant one label into another flavor or pack.

A comparison, not an intake target

A protein-to-powder ratio is label arithmetic. It does not measure digestion, personal requirements or athletic outcomes. Our tools do not take body weight, age, diagnosis or training goals, and do not recommend a portion or daily intake.

A practical record to keep

A comparison sheet can have separate columns for powder grams per serving, protein grams per serving, label servings and price. For the checked ON variant,31 and24 belong in different columns. Do not subtract the difference and name it a particular ingredient: the remainder is not an ingredient analysis. It includes everything represented by the full formula and the label’s permitted rounding.

Before you decide

  • Keep the exact selected label and variant
  • Separate observed facts from your assumptions
