Define the ratio

Price per100g powder is total payable price divided by net powder grams, multiplied by100. It answers a purchase-mass question. It does not equal cost per100g protein unless the complete powder were protein, which these labels do not state.

Use net contents

Read net mass from the exact container, not its shipping weight or the gross weight of tub plus powder. When converting ordinary pounds to grams, state the conversion and avoid inventing extra accuracy beyond the package label.

Keep pack choices visible

A larger tub can lower a mass ratio while increasing upfront spend or changing delivery conditions. Compare one selected variant at a time and keep the actual price conditions beside the result.

A practical record to keep

The ordinary pound-to-gram conversion is453.59237g per pound, but a displayed2lb product may also have a rounded gram declaration. Prefer the actual net gram statement for a precise mass comparison and retain both fields if they differ. Shipping weight includes packaging and is unsuitable as a powder-content denominator. Do not use powder mass as protein mass.
